In the last few days there’s been much talk in the SEO world about the news that the Google algorithm will now favour websites which are regularly updated with fresh content.
This is something that many of us have suspected Google does for some time – so we’ve always tried to encourage clients to update their websites with new content as often as they can.
Here are some suggestions on how you can do this:
- Add a blog to your site and update it at least monthly. Internal blogs give extra credibility with Google so you could double the value from this idea.
- Update the News page on your website with latest client wins, staff achievements, new products, new services etc.
- Create a page which is updated using RSS feeds from third party news websites. It could be an industry news page perhaps.
- Add a case studies section to your site and start adding regular case studies about how you have helped customers.
- Create a ‘Resources’ or ‘Guides’ section to the site and add regular articles or white papers which can coincidentally be targeted to specific search terms you want to target.
